Excellent place to stay

Five  us of stayed here over Christmas 2022: two parents, three adult sons...  plus a family dog. Dan was easy to communicate with, set out clear  expectations/ directions, and very welcoming. Lodging was clean, quiet,  comfortable, and in a spectacular setting. We self-catered food and made  good use of the fridge and microwave. The lodge is an easy drive or  bicycle ride to hiking/ biking in the Chiricahua and Peloncillo  Mountains. Highly recommend.

What a find!

We  had just visited Johnny Ringos grave, the Chiricahua Monument, and Fort  Bowie where we encountered 40 miles of unpaved roads. Wanting a  comfortable hotel  before the long drive along the border to El Paso, we  lodged at the Mountain Valley Inn - and, wow, did we luck out. We slept  soundly in the cozy southwestern decorated Cowboy cottage and awoke  among stunning peaks. It's pretty casual - no e-confirmation when  reserving a room but you get an e-receipt.  Great experience. Would  visit Dan again if we return that way.

Wonderful!

After  seeing pictures of Mountain Valley Lodge, I came all the way down from  Minnesota just to see it for myself, and I was not disappointed! I LOVE  this place. I stayed in the awesome cowboy room. It was immaculate and  beautifully decorated. It wasn’t just a room; it was a studio apartment  and truly felt like a home. I wish I could have stayed for a month.

If  you need to relax and just chill, this is the place. It is only a few  minutes away from the eastern side of the Chiricahua Mountains, which  are beautiful. Just staying “home,” you can relax on your own patio  table and chairs, or you can chill by the fish pond. It is SO peaceful  here. I would go back in a heartbeat.
